Online & Blended AHA HeartCode Courses in Tallahassee

Online & Blended AHA Courses (HeartCode®)

Complete the American Heart Association online course at your own pace, then schedule a hands-on skills session to finish your certification—all with Florida Health Science Consulting.

How Blended Learning Works

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning and a hands-on skills session. Students complete the cognitive portion of the course online in a self-directed format, then attend an in-person skills practice and testing session with an AHA Instructor.

This format provides flexibility for busy healthcare professionals while still meeting all American Heart Association requirements. It combines the convenience of online learning with live, instructor-led skills practice for CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Online Course Access & Completion Time

Once your registration is received, you will be issued a course key code and instructions to complete the online course (Part 1).

  • Students may access all material included in the online portion for 24 months following initial activation of their course URL key.
  • Online courses typically take approximately 90–100 minutes to complete for CPR/Heartsaver.
  • ACLS or PALS online can take up to 6.5 hours, depending on your level of experience and familiarity with the material.

Important: The online course must be completed prior to your scheduled in-person skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 & 3).
